H. W. (Henry William) Dulcken
Henry William Dulcken (1832–1894) was a British translator and writer, best known for translating the fairy tales of Hans Christian Andersen into English. He was a prolific author of children's books, producing works like "Grimm's Household Stories" and "The Child's Picture Fable Book." Dulcken also translated literary works, including Friedrich Schiller's "William Tell" and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe's "Hermann and Dorothea." His contributions to children's literature made him a significant figure in popularizing European folklore in the English-speaking world.
