H. R. Fox (Henry Richard Fox) Bourne
Henry Richard Fox Bourne (1837–1909) was a British writer, historian, and biographer known for his works on social and colonial issues. He was a key figure in the Aborigines' Protection Society and wrote extensively on human rights, advocating for the welfare of indigenous peoples. Among his notable works are "The Life of John Locke" and "English Newspapers: Chapters in the History of Journalism." He was also instrumental in campaigning against abuses in British colonies, particularly in South Africa and the Congo Free State.
