H. D. (Henry Duff) Traill
Henry Duff Traill (1842–1900) was an English author and journalist known for his biographies, essays, and historical works. He contributed to several periodicals, including "The Saturday Review", and held editorial roles at "The Observer" and "St. James's Gazette". Traill's notable works include "The Life of Sir John Franklin" and "The Life of Coleridge", both part of the "English Men of Letters" series.
