H. C. (Henry Charles) Beeching
Henry Charles Beeching (1859–1919) was an English clergyman, author, and poet. He is best known for his work "The Schools of Charles the Great and the Restoration of Education in the Ninth Century," reflecting his interest in historical and religious scholarship. Beeching also wrote poetry, and his most famous poem, "Going Down Hill on a Bicycle," captured the thrill of youthful freedom. In addition to his literary contributions, he served as Dean of Norwich from 1911 until his death, contributing to both theological and literary circles.
