Frederic Lawrence Knowles
Frederic Lawrence Knowles (1869–1905) was an American poet, essayist, and literary critic known for his sensitive and lyrical writing. He published several volumes of poetry, including "On Life's Stairway" and "Love Triumphant," which reflect his themes of love, spirituality, and the beauty of everyday life. Knowles also edited and compiled collections of classic poetry, such as "Cap and Gown," and contributed essays and literary criticism to various periodicals. His career was tragically cut short when he died at the young age of 35.
