Egerton Castle
Egerton Castle (1858–1920) was a British author, fencer, and antiquarian best known for his historical novels and works on fencing. He co-authored several popular novels with his wife, Agnes Castle, including "The Pride of Jennico" and "The Bath Comedy." Castle was also an expert on swordsmanship and wrote the influential fencing manual "Schools and Masters of Fence" (1885), which traced the history of European swordsmanship. In addition to his literary work, Castle played a key role in reviving interest in classical fencing techniques.
