Clarence Day
Clarence Day was an American author and humorist, best known for his autobiographical work "Life with Father," which humorously depicts his upbringing in a strict, patriarchal household in late 19th-century New York. Born in 1874, he initially worked as a stockbroker but later turned to writing after suffering from severe arthritis. His other notable works include "God and My Father" and "This Simian World." Day's wit and lighthearted writing style made him a beloved figure, and his works were later adapted into a popular Broadway play and a successful film.
