Clare Victor Dwiggins
Clare Victor Dwiggins, commonly known as "Dwig," was an American cartoonist and illustrator best known for his contributions to early 20th-century humor and comic art. He created popular comic strips like "School Days" and "Tom Sawyer and Huck Finn," which captured the playful misadventures of youth with wit and nostalgia. Dwiggins also illustrated a number of books, including "The Woggle-Bug Book," collaborating with authors to bring stories to life with his distinct style. His work, often characterized by lively, exaggerated characters and humorous scenes, remains a significant part of early American cartoon history.
