Chatto & Windus (Firm)
Chatto & Windus is a British publishing company founded in 1855 by John Camden Hotten, later taken over by Andrew Chatto and W. E. Windus. The company became known for publishing a wide range of notable authors, including works by Mark Twain, H.G. Wells, and Aldous Huxley. Chatto & Windus also released Oscar Wilde's "The Picture of Dorian Gray" and helped introduce modernist literature to a wider audience. Today, the company is part of the Penguin Random House group, continuing its legacy of publishing acclaimed literary works.
