Charles Greville
Charles Greville (1794–1865) was an English diarist best known for his detailed and candid observations of British political and social life during the 19th century. He worked as a clerk for the Privy Council and used his position to record his insights, resulting in the publication of "The Greville Memoirs." These memoirs provide a first-hand account of significant events and personalities from 1814 to 1860, including British monarchs and political figures. Greville's writings are highly regarded for their vivid portrayal of the Regency and Victorian eras.
