Catherine Ann Turner Dorset
Catherine Ann Turner Dorset was a British poet and children's writer active in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. She is best known for her work "The Peacock at Home" (1807), a popular verse fable often attributed to her sister, Charlotte Turner Smith. Dorset also wrote a sequel titled "The Lion's Masquerade" (1808), which continued the theme of animal fables in verse. Despite her literary contributions, she remains a relatively obscure figure in comparison to her sister.
