C. C. (Charlotte Carmichael) Stopes
Marie Charlotte Carmichael Stopes (1880–1958) was a British author, paleobotanist, and women's rights advocate. She is best known for her pioneering work in the field of birth control and her book "Married Love" (1918), which revolutionized views on sex, marriage, and contraception. Stopes founded the first birth control clinic in Britain in 1921, providing accessible contraceptive advice and support to women. In addition to her work on reproductive rights, she was a prolific writer of romantic poetry and plays.
