Alfred Gurney
Alfred Gurney (1843–1898) was an English Anglican priest, writer, and hymn composer. He is known for his devotional and theological writings, as well as for his poetry. Among his notable works are "The Vision of the Eucharist" and "A Christmas Faggot." Gurney's writings often reflect his deep spirituality and his desire to explore themes of faith, love, and the mystical aspects of Christianity.
