Adelia B. (Adelia Belle) Beard
Adelia Belle Beard was an American author and illustrator known for co-authoring educational books for children. She collaborated with her sisters, Lina and Eliza Beard, on several popular titles, including "The American Girl's Handy Book" and "What a Girl Can Make and Do." These works focused on promoting creativity, independence, and resourcefulness in young girls through hands-on crafts and activities. Adelia's contributions helped shape the DIY movement for girls during the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
